Old Church was painted as a 15 year old. A summer road trip to the Canadian prairies during a long drive from South Florida in our old VW bus to camp, fish and explore stopping along the way. Using Watercolors, I found solace in the vast empty spaces filled with wheat, sunflowers and tall grasses as the wind washed over the prairies like waves in the ocean. A tiny weather beaten church sat quietly waiting on the prairie. The painting is a testament to the timeless allure of the Canadian prairies and the beauty of simple, rustic architecture.
